Proving your right to work from 1st July 2021
You'll no longer be able to use your passport or national identity card to prove your right to work in the UK unless you are a UK or Irish Citizen.
To prove your right to work you will need to use the online right to work checking service which can be found at www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work. You can use the online right to work checking service if you have a UK Visas and Immigration account or a biometric residence permit.
If you have settled or pre-settled status, have a UK Visas and Immigration account or a biometric residence permit or card, you can prove your immigration status at www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status. This will provide you with your unique 'share code'.
