Job Introduction

Resident Matron (Junior House) – Term Time Only

We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic individual to provide support across a boarding house as Resident Matron of Junior House. This is an incredibly important role providing pastoral care to the girls, under the leadership of the Head of Junior House and the Assistant Housemistress to create a relaxed, happy and caring environment for our girls. 
 
All pupils joining Wycombe Abbey in Year 7 are part of our busy and lively Junior House. It provides girls with a welcoming environment to settle into their new school and to bond as a year group. The Resident Matron will provide outstanding pastoral care for the girls and be part of a team providing a relaxed, happy and caring environment. 
 
The successful candidate must have previous experience working with young people, a strong commitment to the boarding ethos, warmth, enthusiasm and excellent communication and organisational skills.
 
This is a residential role and the post-holder is therefore required to be a resident within the boarding house during term time as well as before and after the beginning and end of terms in order to ensure the efficient preparation and running of the House.
